| Analytical Specialist |
Are client is looking to recruit an experienced Analyst to join a core team of analytical specialists.
Your role will be to evaluate, present and analyse a wealth of customer data. Specifically, you will take ownership of key projects that are focused on getting the most out of the customer database. Responsibilities will include identifying the best customers to target, reporting and analysing campaign results, retention and acquisition analysis, as well as daily and ad-hoc KPI reporting. This analysis will be used to inform key business decisions, so you should be able to present your findings at all levels, and to non-specialists. You will work with the marketing teams to make sure customer commuinication is highly targeted and personalised, and you will be responsible for testing new and improved communication techniques – from conception, through execution – and you will be expected to be able to analyse the results and make recommendations. The overriding purpose of this role, and that of the department, is to maximise customer acquisition and retention. It is, therefore, quite a strategic role with a business focus, so the ideal candidate will need to have a good sense of how his/her activities can impact the success of the company.
Essential Criteria:
2+ years commercial experience in an analytical environment
Experience of working with large customer databases.
Understanding of the value of customer-driven communication – experience of a direct marketing business, preferably online direct marketing.
Ability to draw intelligent conclusions from the data, with a strategic focus.
Analytical skills – a strong numerate background with a statistics-related degree and / or experience
Ability to work across business functions; and to communicate insight and recommendations at all levels.
SAS or SPSS programming / modelling skills would be an advantage
Experience of surveys and market research would be an advantage
Experience of the online gaming market would also be an advantage
