| Technical Operations Project Manager - Gibraltar |
Our client is searching for a Technical Operations Project Manager to own and execute a portfolio of technical operations projects.
The candidate will have the following responsibilities – •Deliver on several projects in parallel; be accountable for final solutions delivery and demonstrate a strong sense of project ownership •Manage a tactical plan for portfolio of prioritized projects and long term strategic roadmap for all projects in the technical operations department.
•Solid set of standard project management skills oDocument – the minimum required to communicate requirements, manage projects, and provide on-going support for operational deliveries oRequirements gathering (e.g., workshops, interviews)
oPrioritization – work closely with stakeholders to fairly prioritize work from various quarters of the business oEstimation – work closely with team members to collaboratively develop reasonable yet aggressive schedules oScheduling Track a number of projects against committed schedule Communicate changes to requirements and schedule Trade off schedule, scope, resources, and quality oBudget – estimate and track costs against each project; support department budget forecasting and period reviews oResources – manage a pool of individual contributors, suppliers, and others across the business against the prioritized list of projects oRisks – regularly communicate risks and possible mitigators •Demonstrate sound commercial judgment by being able to make sensible tradeoffs between and within projects •Source and work closely with partners and suppliers to facilitate project delivery •Mesh the technical operations project plan into the overall business project planning •Work with the release manager to ensure success for releases that involve technical operations projects
You will have
•Significant technical, hands-on background. Background in networking would be ideal.
•* Networking background: Basic Cisco, Checkpoint networking skills; can manage a networking services supplier •Background in working with data centre projects •Ability to negotiate and execute contracts with suppliers •Background of working on projects involving Sun, Cisco, Netapp Checkpoint kit and software •Background of working in *nix environments

•Experience with the online gaming, gambling industry •Experience with online delivery of customer-facing products and service
