| Casino Technical Platform Owner - Gibraltar |
Our client is searching for a Casino Technical Owner who will be responsible for the coordination of all Casino Platform product support. This includes the detail analysis of problems and submission for change to the development outsource group, development of technical specifications for enhancements to be completed by approved outsource development partners.
The Casino Technical Owner will play a key role in ensuring a very high level of reliability is maintained within the Casino Platform. This includes communication with IT Operations staff and Casino Platform development resources to ensure problems are identified quickly and resolutions are developed, tested and implemented. Coordinate User Acceptance Testing of new releases with the relevant business staff representatives and IT Operations in accordance with agreed timelines and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities / Activities
• Accept ownership of all Casino Platform problems and change requests. Coordinate with the relevant IT Operations staff and development staff the resolution of problems which arise;
• Provide detail technical analysis of Casino Platform production problems to IT Operations or software development group as needed;
• To develop and maintain effective working relationships with key IT Operations and software engineering technical leaders so as to promote an understanding of all Casino Platform issues, requirements for change and improvements to the platform;
• Maintain and report statistics on all aspects of the Casino Platform performance, ensuring this information is available by business entity on a regular basis;
• Maintain and report statistics on Casino Platform problems, change requests, enhancements and improvements, ensuring this information is available on a regular basis;
• Maintain communication with Casino Platform development team to understand and provide input to system enhancement design and development;
Experience / Qualifications Requirements
• 2 + years experience designing and developing software solutions in complex, high transaction volume environments with Java based technologies;
• 2 + years experience in Unix based platform architecture, SUN Solaris in particular would be highly regarded;
• 2 + years experience working with Oracle database platforms;
• Preferably educated to degree level or with appropriate vocational experience backed up by formal training;
• Experience with Casino Gaming Platform and Gaming Industry software development is essential;
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Ability to communicate with Business Product team, IT Operations and Casino Platform software engineering team to communicate details of issues, requirements and other related Casino Platform matters;
• Broad IT industry experience.
Technical
• 3 + Years experience in development of Java based technologies is essential.
• 2+ years experience with UNIX platforms is essential, SUN Solaris is strongly preferred.
• Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle methodologies is essential.
Salary is £40 - £45k
