Our client is searching for are looking for a bright, energetic and well organised Financial Controller to lead the finance function for 2 companies.
The role will include implementation and maintenance of financial systems and controls, and management of the cycle of planning, budgeting, forecasting and reporting. It will include preparation of management accounts, cash flow forecasts, and maintenance of all ledgers and reconciliations. It will involve payroll control and control of PAYE, NI and other taxation obligations, as well as liaison with auditors. Knowledge of Sage Line 100 would be an advantage, and good Excel skills are a requirement. The role will include management of one assistant accountant.
The successful candidate will be bright and energetic, with a strong commercial focus; a self starter, able to deliver relevant and reliable financial information to tight deadlines. The individual will have to be able to work alone on a day to day basis as no other senior financial resource will be available, with senior management from the UK visiting usually monthly. The person must be well organised and systematic, and be prepared to get involved in day to day transaction processing.
You will be ACA or CIMA qualified or part qualified and ideally live locally.
Salary £40k - £50k, depending on experience, qualifications
