 IT Project Manager - contract
RecruitGibraltar are currently helping our client who is a market leading egaming company who has a great opportunity for a Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery Project Manager to develop, maintain, and implement business continuity and disaster recovery strategies and solutions, including risk assessments, business impact analyses, strategy selection, and documentation of business continuity and disaster recovery procedures.

This responsibility includes coordinating the design, development, maintenance, and exercising (testing) of the overall disaster recovery (DR) plans for each critical system identified. These disaster recovery plans must address three major elements of the recovery process: (1) the Emergency Response organization and procedures for reacting to and coordinating recovery efforts; (2) the Recovery Support procedures for restoring key systems; and (3) the Business Resumption procedures for the continuation of critical business systems. Before, during and after a disruption event, act as the coordinator for continuity efforts.

Key Responsibilities

? Work to define critical, time-sensitive functions along with the associated recovery time objective and recovery point objectives, so appropriate budget strategies and options are available.
? Create a best-practice BCDR program to protect information assets, ensuring appropriate information security measures and disaster recovery processes are in place.
? Comply with all Gibraltar Regulatory Authority and United Kingdom Gambling Commission regulations.
? Provide technical guidance for projects identified under the BCDR plan; set appropriate disaster recovery/business continuity planning (DR/BCP) expectations, manage risks and ensure the company achieve anticipated value; ensure DR/BCP initiatives are tied to strategic initiatives and key focus areas of both divisions.
? Develop emergency management plans for recovery decision making and communications, continuity of critical departmental processes, or temporary shut-down of non-critical departments to ensure continuity of operation and governance.
? Work with different departments to understand business processes and uncover potential risks.
? Ensure the validity of the business continuity plan through regular testing and plan updates and maintenance.
? Use the Business Impact Assessment (BIA) to develop scenarios to re-establish operations from various types of business disruptions.
? Lead annual DR/BCP testing activities to ensure they are prepared to keep or bring systems online during a DR/BCP event.
? The DR/BCP Project Manager must act as a business partner to key stakeholders across the company and be able to proactively handle communication, alignment and change management.
? Define programme scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders
? Establish a BCM governance structure consistent with accepted professional and industry standards.
? Develop and deliver an appropriate Awareness Program to be used enterprise-wide for the purposes of educating employees on the importance of a comprehensive DR/BCP programme.
? Create and maintain required documentation which at a minimum should include impact analysis, risk assessment, recovery plans, contacts lists, and test plans. Implement an improvement process based on the results of the exercises/tests.
? Create KPIs and dashboards to report the business continuity status of business units to senior management.

Skills, Knowledge and Behaviour

? Bachelor?s Degree in Business Information Management, or a related field.
? +5 years of applicable experience including combined disaster recovery, business continuity, project management, business analysis, team leadership and IT.
? Extensive knowledge of business continuity principles, strategies and best practices with practical experience in developing and maintaining business continuity plans, conducting business impact assessments, and organising and overseeing business continuity exercises.
? Detailed understanding of BCM and its integral partnership with IT Disaster Recovery at both technical and business levels
? Experience with creating, presenting, and deploying enterprise business disaster recovery and contingency plans
? Ability to assess business and financial impacts for critical business and technology functions and identify acceptable recovery time objectives and recovery point objectives for all functions
? Experience with monitoring BCP programmes including audit and regulatory compliances
? Ability to create and maintain required project documentation
? Ability to create and implement related DR/BC standards and procedures
? Strong analytical skills needed to identify business process improvements, separate key issues, consider alternatives or multiple solutions, and effectively make recommendations
? Continuity knowledge; either Continuity of Operations (COOP), Business Continuity Planning, Emergency Management, or IT Disaster Recovery Planning
? Experience of working within multi-location teams
? Excellent knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle including Functional & Non-Functional Test Phases
? Excellent attention to detail
? Motivated by delivery
? English language skills ? excellent written and verbal communication

Contract rate 500 - 650 a day based on experience with an excellent relocation package.
