The business analyst will be responsible for understanding all business change needs, assessing the impact of those changes, capturing, analysing and documenting requirements and then supporting the communication and delivery of those requirements with all relevant parties. The role will focus on online application development as well as back office functions such as marketing and trading requirements.
Responsibilities
- Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyse information needs and functional requirements and deliver the following as needed: (Functional requirements (Business Requirements Document), Use Cases, GUI, Screen and Interface designs)
- Develop functional specifications for development projects in accordance with the objectives of all necessary business channels according to standard templates
- Carry out requirements analysis and assist with formulation of new development proposals
- Liaise with internal and external software development partners to clarify development requirements
- Liaise with the internal testing team to ensure project requirements are delivered as expected. This will include user-acceptance testing of new developments.
- Provide input to change management, required for roll-out of new developments
- Gather requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, and task / workflow analysis.
- Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
- Be the liaison between the business units, technology teams and support teams.
Skills, Knowledge and Behaviour
- At least 3 years? experience in a similar role
- Previous experience in the eGaming industry (Casino, Poker, Sports) advantageous
- Experience in defining business requirements in the context of software and application development both from a technical and customer facing view point.
- Strong analytical and product management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
- Ability to relate to both business and I.T specialists
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
- Understanding of project management methodologies
