Our client who is a leading online gaming company is looking for a Testing Manager to ensure that appropriate testing is planned and conducted on any of the systems, through best practice testing methods. This person has to be business aware and ensure that we maintain a regular release schedule into production whilst maintaining quality.
Main duties and responsibilities (day to day tasks to be performed):
? Establish and agrees standards for software test planning, testing and Quality Control
? Ensure that high-level test plans are produced at design stage
? Assign staff to projects
? Organise and manages system tests
? Use automated software for quality and performance testing
? Maintain software defect and enhancement tracking system
? Implement testing best practice and ensure staff are fully trained.
? Manage Team and staff absence (sickness).
? Manage and monitor Team and staff performance.
? Escalation point for Test issues.
? Manage test plans / test scripts ensuring they meet the required project(s) deliverables (business requirements, technical specifications).
Experience
? Minimum 4 years Test Manager experience leading a team of testers
? Ability to act as a leader and inspire confidence
? Proven track record of success in testing real-time e-commerce applications
? Must be able to effectively manage and motivate the test team
? Experience of Quality Centre or similar tool is a pre-requisite for this position
? Use Automated Test Tools to ensure quick and reliable package delivery
? Automated Regression Testing
? Produce test scripts for the various applications
? Software test planning, testing and Quality Control
? Manage and improve testing strategy on a continuous basis. Identify methodologies and service improvements.
? Enhancement and defect tracking systems
? Quality risk assessment
? Testing / quality metrics.
? Excellent organisational & persuasive skills with a flexible attitude.
? Exposure to all Test methodologies.
