Our client is searching for a HR Advisor to work closely with the Head of HR to provide professional, commercial, timely & accurate support to the Management Teams across the business.
Responsibilities
? To support Head of HR in delivering the People Plan empowering our teams addressing any shortfalls in performance in line with company policy
? To support Head of HR in addressing Employee Relations issues ensuring they are dealt with both professionally, commercially, legally & in a timely manner. Assist with discipline & grievance processes e.g. management representation, note taker, etc.
? To support Head of HR in achieving engagement targets & managing Employee Engagement through listening to colleagues & effective action planning following survey results
? In conjunction with the Head of HR and Department Manager deliver effective short term & long term absence management & effective attendance management in accordance with Policy, making a significant reduction in absence costs & a significant improvement in productivity
? To provide advice around the management of sickness absence.
? Provide professional advice & solutions in managing changes of Terms & Conditions of employment, ways of working & other employment changes, that, if handled poorly create a negative impact on the ER climate &/or reputational/financial damage to the organisation
? To deliver effective, professional & compliant HR related administration in a timely manner e.g. letter writing, record keeping, filing, documented evidence etc.
? Working with the Head of HR deliver changes or updates to HR policy ensuring full compliance at all times & providing advice to Line Managers in how to manage misdemeanours or breaches
? Take ownership for any projects or initiatives as directed by the Head of HR & provide general support for work required/requested
Skills, Knowledge and Behaviour
? Minimum of two years generalist HR or employee relations experience
? Exceptional communication skills
? Proven ability to develop strong relationships
? Proven ability to deliver coaching on people management to Department Managers
? Proven effective organisation skills & the ability to prioritise a heavy workload at short notice
? The ability to both work under pressure & at pace
Salary based on experience.
