Our client is searching for an IT System Administrator to report to the lead system administrator and be responsible for the 24/7 operation of our IT infrastructure systems.
Role Responsibilities:
? Maintain our Microsoft Windows infrastructure - including, but not limited to: Active directory, DNS, DHCP, DFS, cluster services, IIs.
? Maintain our Linux infrastructure.
? Design and implement Backup and Restore policies.
? Design and implement Disaster Recovery strategies.
? Maintain Antivirus System.
? Configure server and network devices (predominantly Cisco,
? Microsoft and Red Hat Linux technologies)
? Setup and maintain Storage Systems infrastructure (SAN, DAS, iSCSI)
? Setup and maintain file systems.
? Perform ?out-of-hours? software and hardware maintenance
? Deploy software by using Remote Deployment tools.
? Assist in basic maintenance of network devices.
? Assist in infrastructure expansion evaluation.
? Work in shifts.
? Perform on-call support.
? Perform Hardware installation and maintenance.
? Configure and support Virtualization
? Infrastructure. Deploy, update, upgrade and test bespoke and 3rd party software in test and production environments.
? Maintain enterprise services infrastructure (Mail, Intranet, Incidence system)
? Create and maintain up to date systems documentation.
? Implement the policies for the use of computer system.
Qualifications and knowledge
? Windows server 2003 and 2008 infrastructure deep understanding.
? Internet infrastructure understanding.
? Professional backup systems understanding.
? High Availability systems understanding.
? VoIP systems understanding.
? Virtualization infrastructure understanding.
? SAN infrastructure understanding.
? iSCSI infrastructure understanding.
? Thorough understanding of Red Hat Linux
? MCSE/SA required.
? Linux Certification Red Hat/LPI would be an advantage.
? CCNA certification would be an advantage.
? MS IIs specialist certification would be an advantage.
? EMC storage certification would be an advantage.
Experience:
? 2 Years Windows Server administration experience or similar role.
? Experience working as 2nd line support or equivalent role.
? Cisco or equivalent network devices administration minimum 1 year experience will be an advantage.
? Experience working as member of project teams will be an advantage..
? Fluent English speaker.
? Ability to work under high stress conditions.
Salary circa 30k - 35k
