Our client is searching for a Management Accountant to ensure the timely and accurate preparation of the periodic management accounts, and ensure that all accounting processes and procedures are accurately reported.
Accountabilities:
? Ensure that the periodic management accounts are delivered according to reporting deadlines
? Ensure that all necessary accounting adjustments are posted each period in order to produce accurate management accounts
? Ensure that any new systems, processes or initiatives are accurately captured and reported in the management accounts
? Ensure a strong working knowledge of the commercial trends impacting the business in order to understand revenue and cost variances
? Deliver insightful analysis and commentary on all key variances to budget/plan/prior year in order to explain performance
? Ensuring that all queries from internal customers are dealt with effectively and promptly; work with stakeholders to deliver proactive management of the cost base of the business and take a lead role in identifying areas where costs can be better managed
? Prepare periodic Management Information Packs, including detailed financial analysis that supplements the consolidated management accounts
? Maintain close control of balance sheet; ensure that balance sheet reconciliations are undertaken each period, with all reconciling items investigated and resolved promptly
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
? Qualified accountant
? Significant experience in management accounting and reporting, preferably within a customer-facing online business
? Good technical skills
? Strong Excel skills
? Good written communications skills
? Experience of budgeting, planning and forecasting processes
