We are looking for a few Unix Administrators
WHAT WE WANT:
? Providing internal customer support to users (e.g., setting up new accounts, changing permissions, updating the DNS, etc.)
? Maintain and troubleshoot Linux based email environments and apache configurations
? Evaluate third party products, develop and present Linux based architectural solutions
? Stay on top of technology advancements and continually adopt the best practices into our environment
? Installing, monitoring, and performance tuning of Linux systems and adjoining technologies
? Setting up test servers for new applications
? Troubleshooting and solving systems and network problems
WHAT YOU NEED:
? 4 - 6 years system administrator experience working with Unix/Linux systems (Redhat/CentOS Linux) on a scale of a large number of servers (we have hundreds!)
? Knowledge of and experience working with scripting languages (e.g. bash, perl)
? Experience in setting up and administering production Linux systems.
? Experience working in a large scale distributed Linux environment.
? Experience maintaining large scale DNS environments.
? Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot system and network problems
? Ability to build open source software (e.g. Apache, MySQL) from source code
? Knowledge of services such as email/SMTP, web, IM, DNS, SNMP, DB, etc.
? Experience maintaining a production environment with zero or very minimal downtime
? Significant understanding and working experience with enterprise level virtualization (VMware primarily).
? Ability to work in a 24/7 environment
? Demonstrated ability to work under pressure
? Embraces change
? Excellent communication skills and a stickler for documentation
? Working knowledge of Netapp storage solutions is a plus
