 HR Officer
Our client is searching for a HR Officer whose prime focus will be on establishing good human resource working practices and procedures and providing day to day HR support to the management and employees. As part of a small HR team, you will report directly to the HR Manger, but work closely with the team.

The role will require you to deal with performance management, resourcing, reward, development and employee relations, including compliance with all legal and statutory guidelines. In addition to your day to day responsibilities, you will also be expected to be involved with, and provide support to, the HR Manager on wider HR projects and activities.

You will ensure compliance with Gibraltar and EU Employment Regulations and continually develop department goals, objectives and performance management systems. You will support the implementation of a department culture, sustain the department Charter and ensure a high level of morale. You will manage employee relations issues, including disciplinary and and grievance matters, absence management and terms & conditions and coach line managers and provide support to employees. You will review manpower levels with line management and manage any recruitment activity using appropriate resources and selection tools. You will carry out exit interviews, agree KPIs and provide monthly and ad hoc management reports for Department Management and the HR manager. You will also consolidate and check the monthly department payroll changes, such as overtime and bonuses.

Key skills and knowledge required

• A minimum of 2 years previous experience in a similar role (not recruitment focused)
• CIPD qualified
• Experience of dealing with Employee Relations
• Good excel and writing skills
• Flexible and adaptable to change in working patterns and organizational needs.
• The ability to work in a team and independently
• Excellent planning, organizational and time management skills
