| Financial Controller |
Our client is looking to recruit a Financial Controller to support the overall financial operations of their operations in Gibraltar and management of the associated assets.
Principal Accountabilities:
To participate in the production and reporting of Financial plan and actual information for the office that will support the management and performance evaluation of the office
To ensure the timely and accurate provision of Financial Year underwriting information both on a plan and actual basis and support the provision and development of MI to both the board and to Group Finance
To be responsible for all statutory reporting of the entity meeting all FSC requirements and filings
To participate in, and have responsibility for, elements of the financial controls framework, ensuring necessary reconciliations are performed on a regular basis and that exceptions are identified and addressed.
To be responsible for all cash movements
To identify process improvement opportunities in the collation and presentation of Management Information
To support ad hoc requests for information on the performance of the key operating entities
To participate and work with the underwriters in the formulation of the quarterly business plan
To conduct reconciliations on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
To be responsible for the end to end finance processes of the office, including invoicing, general ledger and processing
To prepare and report on the investment accounting information
Decision Making Responsibilities:
To make decisions regarding the financial matters of the office, in accordance with wider Group policy and also in conjunction with the Head of Office.
Qualified accountant with 3-5 years post qualified experience
Management Accounting Experience
Insurance knowledge and previous experience preferred
Excellent IT skill, including the use of Excel to an advanced level
High levels of self – motivation
Able to work flexibly as the role covers a broad range of tasks and responsibilities
Able to work accurately and take responsibility for the effective delivery of work
Salary circa 70k
