| Director of IT for Online Operations |
We are looking for a Director of IT for Online Operations who will work closely with many established heads of the business such as Group Finance Director, CMO, Group HR Director, Head of Procurement and Technology management teams across many countries.
Due to the impact of running a 24/7 365 days a year platform it is critical that my clients business have continual access to the right technology, processes and people to ensure that platforms can perform to the demands of this online entertainment business. This exciting role will see you take responsibility within this challenging and exciting technical environment.
Key responsibilities
As the Director of IT Operations you will be able to achieve 99.9%+ core availability through the effective operational management of networks, datacenters, applications management, network operations centers, production datacenters, hardware and software.
You will have strong Leadership skills and will be responsible for a team of 40+ technical staff across many countries.
You will have direct management responsibilities for the following:
•Head of Database Administration
•Head of Production Engineering Group
•IT Operations Manager
•Servers and Storage Manager
•Networks and Datacenters Manager
You will be at the forefront Driving and delivering the functional planning, budgeting and forecasting processes to ensure alignment and commitment to deliver performance.
Essential skills
•Experience of 24/7/365 mission critical, high performance, production management in an online consumer business.
•Experience within a similar role within a substantial online Business, ideally online gaming but not essential.
•ITIL familiarity
•Demonstrable success in managing IT operations with minimal downtime
•Experience Implementing operational efficiencies to drive performance
•People management including objective setting and appraisals
Salary is 100k - 140k plus relocation etc
