Web UAT Analyst
Our client is searching for a Web UAT Analyst to be responsible for ensuring an exceptional online customer experience, through testing the web sites frontend ensuring it meets the requirements and needs of both our customers and internal stakeholders.
You will be involved in testing everything from small changes to major projects ensuring proper test process is carried out and reported on throughout. The position holder should have a passion for understanding the way web site interfaces work, and eager to learn. An understanding of usability testing; web development (HTML/Javascript etc) and web standards compliance would be beneficial.
You will also assist the business in signing off changes, liaising closely with business analysts and stakeholders to ensure they meet specification and are fit for purpose.
Principal Accountabilities
Read and understand documentation of each change, liaising with business analysts for assistance
Work with key stakeholders to define test requirements, estimates and agree scope
Ensure all changes meet business owner requirements and report
Hands-on test UI designs and functionality ensuring it meets ‘customer’ requirements at all times
Raise bugs and clarifications against each test case, ensure all are satisfactorily closed before sign-off
Present new functionality highlighting related issues, queries and concerns
Assist in ad-hoc testing the live web sites, escalating any problems found
Ensure test environments are adequate for purpose of each change
Assist in quality testing changes to content
· Critically think about how customers will interact with the software being tested and turn those thoughts into finding bugs, listing action items, and opening avenues of discussion
· Continually research competitor and best practice websites, in order to compare new functionality with others
Qualification, Skills and Experience
· A commitment to quality and a thorough approach to work
· Organized and with high attention to detail
· Good communications skills, confident in presenting new functionality to various stakeholders
· Able to develop sound relationships with developers/designers, project managers and other team members
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Process driven
· Passion for Web testing and customer usability
