Web UAT Manager



Our client is searching for a Web UAT Manager to be responsible for ensuring an exceptional online customer experience, through managing the business test and sign off process and assisting in the transition of releases into the live environment.



Managing a small team covering everything from small changes to major projects, you will ensure proper test process is carried out and reported on. The position holder should have a passion for web site user interfaces, and eager to be deeply involved in the sign-off of new functionality. An understanding of usability testing; web development (HTML/Javascript etc) and web standards compliance would be beneficial.



You will also assist the business in signing off changes, liaising closely with business analysts and stakeholders to ensure they meet specification and are fit for purpose. You will have significant autonomy to put in place necessary QA processes to ensure the highest possible standards of content and functionality.



Principal Accountabilities



Work with key stakeholders to define test requirements, estimates and agree scope
Ensure all changes meet business requirements and report back to the stakeholders
Ensure System Test processes and procedures are adequate and cover core stability and functionality
ISEB qualified, you will assist in the preparation of test scope, plans and scripts to ensure highest quality is maintained in the product lifecycle
Hands-on test UI designs and functionality ensuring it meets ‘customer’ requirements at all times
Liaise with internal functions to help coordinate the business test signoff process (System Test; Business Analysts; Design; and Business Owners)
Support the business in preparing for release and change; gathering business readiness and obtaining sign-off from stakeholders and business owners
Present new functionality highlighting related issues, queries and concerns
After each release ensure changes are stabilised in live environment, and when resource permits ensure regular quality checks are undertaken
Liaise with System Test leads to ensure test environments are adequate for purpose
Put in place QA processes and related documentation as required
Proactively enhance the business test processes and communication approach
Develop robust test plans to ensure quality is maintained
· Critically think about how customers will interact with the software being tested and turn those thoughts into finding bugs, listing action items, and opening avenues of discussion

· Continually research new web technologies and incorporate that new knowledge into your ongoing QA process





Qualification, Skills and Experience



Required Skills/Knowledge /Attributes:



· University degree educated or equivalent, preferably in a software related field

· Proven experience (3+ years) and success in a similar role

· ISEB qualification required; Detailed knowledge of Manual Testing

· Knowledge of best practice QA methods and processes

· A commitment to quality and a thorough approach to work

· Organized and with high attention to detail

· Excellent communications skills, confident in presenting new functionality to various stakeholders

· Able to develop sound relationships with developers/designers, project managers and other team members

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Ability to build and develop credibility and strong working relationships

· Experience of Team Leadership

· Experience of front end usability testing
