Our client is searching for a Business Development Manager to help in the achievement of sales targets through the development and execution of the fund administration business (Hedge, Private Equity and Property Funds).
Key Responsibilities
• Development of a strategy to win new business in the “alternatives†segment with annual target set at £360k of won and billed new business.
• Development of pipeline of new business opportunities across the range of new business jurisdictions. This will be achieved by working in close and continual cooperation with the management teams in each of the jurisdictions.
• Achievement of quarterly and annual new business targets
• Building and maintaining a strong network of contacts to help with identifying qualified new business opportunities including and not limited to law firms, influencers, banks, consultants, prime brokers and fund managers.
• Negotiation of commercial terms and closure of business opportunities with new customers
• Development of new business opportunities with existing clients
• Identifying opportunities for possible partnerships or acquisitions which will compliment our offering and continue to drive the business forward
• Presenting to potential clients and outlining fund administration capabilities
• Provision of data and active engagement in monthly reviews to measure forecast / funnel business in achievement of new business targets
• Active engagement in partnership with Account Management team and with key clients to develop on-going business opportunities and bedding in of new business into operating model
• Close liaison with Compliance, Transitions and Operations teams
• Close liaison with Marketing team to ensure relevant support for sales initiatives
You will ideally have 3 years of experience in the investment management outsourced administration market and thus excellent knowledge of financial services sector and in depth knowledge of investment management outsourced administration market.
You will have a track record of proven success in the outsourcing market in the investment management sector, demonstrating consistent achievement of success and experience in winning large (greater than £250m per annum) mandates.
Good operational understanding of alternative fund structures and their administration requirements. The candidate must possess more than just good sales and commercial skills, and must demonstrate real knowledge of the operational issues surrounding fund administration to be perceived as adding value by the client and increase the candidates stature with the client.
