| Financial Assistant |
Our client is searching for a Financial Assistant to provide general assistance to the Financial Accounting team, including liaising with external suppliers and internal authorisers, inputting invoices to Sage, preparing payment runs, petty cash and cheque management.
Your Responsibilities
• You will enter daily exchange rates into Sage for a variety of currencies
• You will check the system for incoming payments
• You will take receipt of invoices and expense claims and ensure supplier is set-up in Sage, check / seek authorisation within delegated limits of authority, check bank details, payment terms and any special payment instructions and allocate nominal ledger and cost centre codes
• You will prepare twice weekly bank transfer payment run in the system for authorisation
• You will manage payment queries
• You will liaise with bank regarding any returned payments and arrange for repayment
• You will communicate remittance advice / payment breakdown to suppliers
• You will have responsibility for petty cash / cheque control
• You will also participate in adhoc project work
Your Professional Profile
• You possess experience in a similar role, preferably within the online gaming sector
• You are currently studying towards your AAT qualification
• You are an accurate and organised person with an eye for detail
• You possess very good analytical skills and an affinity to numbers and have the ability to work on your own initiative
• You are a team player with excellent communication skills who is confident in dealing with internal and external clients.
Locally based candidates will be given strong preference
