The position of General Manager is required for a well established Bar/Cafe/Restaurant where the focus is very much on the client and offering a variety of services to meet their needs, including a fine selection of Belgian beers, quality food and live entertainment.
The Role:
As General Manager you will be expected to manage the day to day operations of this successful, service-driven bar/cafe/restaurant. You will have a high degree of autonomy in your role, ensuring that the service delivery and menu quality is second to none. You will need to demonstrate a broad range of skills and have the personality to be able to lead, enthuse and develop your team. You will also have the confidence and experience to delegate tasks where appropriate.
We are looking for a quality individual with a successful track record in leading teams within a customer service driven, passionate business. You will be a confident manager with a passion for great service and quality food in a top-end yet relaxed environment.
Duties will include:
• Responsibility for the bar/kitchen team of 7
• Responsibility for training and development of the staff
• Maintaining the highest levels of service standards and hygiene
• Stock taking and placing orders
• Cashing up and organising monies with the bank
• Organising the bar rota
Requirements:
You must speak a minimum of English and Spanish, other languages are a bonus.
• To have held a similar post within a reputable bar/restaurant environment, with a high standard of customer service
• Excellent management skills and experience
• Strong people skills and able to motivate and lead a team
• Ability to get to know and understand your clients and anticipate their needs and expectations and most importantly to make them feel welcome and eager to return!
• Manage effective shifts and ensure that your team also run effective shifts that are 100% client focused whilst not losing sight of driving sales and profit
• Work with the Chef to ensure the highest standards of quality and hygiene are maintained in the kitchen
The General Manager will be the face of the business and will be expected to run key shifts on a regular basis so it is important that you are able to spend quality time in the business as a visible leader to ensure your clients know who you are and see you as the role model to your team.

The salary is circa €1500 per month.
