You will be constantly analysing and tuning the system to provide an optimal environment for customers and staff. The role responsibilities are: Create and maintain all databases and application server clusters required for development, testing, and production usage. Perform the capacity planning required to create and maintain the databases. Performs ongoing tuning of the database and application server instances. Plans, implements and maintain disaster recovery solutions, including backup and stand by DBS. Implements and enforces security for all of the Oracle databases . Provides technical support to application development teams. Assists with impact analysis of any changes made to the database objects/application server. Provide on call support after working hours on a rota basis and assist in out of hours system maintenance. Success will be measured by: Uptime of the databases. Uptime of the application servers. Evaluation made by line manager after projects completion.
