BUSINESS ROLE:
Provide assistance in the corporate and contractual relationship to the Middle East Africa region, including dealings with providers (airlines and other providers) as well as control and legal advice to the companies within the Amadeus Group in that region, including the Dubai branch; analyse regulation and international laws applicable to related issues.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work closely and in coordination with the MEA distribution managers in order to give legal support to the day to day business activities of the Amadeus Group, in the Middle East Africa region, as well as in relation to projects to be implemented for the region (providers and subscribers)
- Provide legal advice to all Amadeus affiliates located in the Middle East Africa with regards to commercial matters. This will include negotiations with potential customers, drafting of contracts and follow up of the contracts with the Middle East Africa Managers
- Control and surveillance of activities carried out by the affiliates located in the Middle East Africa region, including the Dubai branch, in coordination with the Middle East Africa Markets Department and the Internal Audit Department, in order to make sure that those affiliates comply with Amadeus internal and corporate policies and with applicable local laws and regulations. This task may comprise carrying out legal audits of the different affiliates which will take place in the countries where the companies are incorporated.
- Provide legal advice to the affiliates as regards corporate matters: acquisition transactions, share capital increases or reductions, etc.
- Coordinate and organize local advice and relationship with local counsel
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: University Degree in Law. Post-graduate studies in Law or MBA is an asset.
Work Experience: 8-10 years experience in law firm or in the legal department of a multinational company.
Business Understanding: Good knowledge of the company and of the industry and financial understanding of the operations.
Skills: Good oral and written communication skills; good negotiation skills; ability to fit in with multicultural team; extensive travel within the Middle East Africa region
Specific Knowledge Contracting. Corporate and M&A law. Finance Law.
Languages: English: excellent, written and oral for drafting of contracts and other legal documents. French and Arabic are an asset.
Computing PC skills: advanced
