Our client is searching for a Web Editor to be responsible for creating high quality copy for the website. The role will involve researching and writing creative concepts, and working from an initial brief to final sign off. You will need to be able to work conceptually and be good at generating ideas for both online and offline campaigns.
A passion for the written word is all important as the focus of this position is to ensure all marketing copy is consistently high quality, attention grabbing and cut through. Working closely with the Manager, the creative team and wider marketing team you will ensure synergy and brand integrity across a variety of initiatives and campaigns. The role also involves working on headlines and copy for PR campaigns.
Experience in copywriting for the web is essential.
Copywriting:
• Ability to come up with innovative & relevant ideas
• Ability to work to a brief and translate brand values
• Ability to write attention-grabbing copy - headlines and text - for advertising/marketing/PR campaigns
Communications Assistance:
• Coordinate press releases as required
• Compile regular media relations reports, keeping track of editorial content
• Provide general administration support
Knowledge/Skills/Experience:
• Proven copywriting experience (2 years)
• Effective content development for websites
• Knowledge of the Gaming Industry advantageous
• Attention to detail
• Enthusiasm for creating strong pieces of communication
This role would suit an experienced copywriter looking to work in a different creative environment or a media graduate with lots of ideas & an interest in working in the dynamic online gaming industry. Salary for the position is negotiable depending on experience.
