GETTING A WORK AND RESIDENCE PERMIT IN SPAIN
Dependants and non workers need a residence permit which can be applied for with a residence visa at the Spanish Consulate. There must be funds available which guarantee the support of your family and yourself. The residence permit can also be obtained at the local police station.
Those who come to Spain to work need to have a job offer from a company in Spain, who will send the application form to Madrid where it will be stamped and passed on to the Spanish Consulate nearest to where the employee lives. When the work permit has been issued the employee can pick it up from the Spanish Consulate and move legally to Spain to work there. The final residence card might take another few months to be ready.
